Mirror Lake

For visitors looking for an easy hike in Yosemite, the walk to Mirror Lake is the one for you. The free valley shuttle bus will drop you off a mile from Mirror Lake, and offers access for the handicapped. The journey to the lake takes you along the waters of Tenaya Creek, offering exceptional views of Half Dome and the woodlands in the eastern edge of Yosemite Valley.

As a final note, Mirror Lake is turning into Mirror Meadow (a natural process common with mountain lakes). It is only a "lake" in the spring and early summer. After that, it becomes "Mirror Puddle" then "Mirror Sandbar."
