TOURS
What tours
are available and where do we get them?
All tours are conducted by Yosemite Concession Services and are available
for a fee. Tours operate seasonally except the Valley Floor Tour, which runs
year-round. For schedules and reservations, contact the Yosemite Lodge Tour
Desk at (209) 372-1240.
The Valley Floor Tour is a guided two-hour tour of Yosemite Valley
that includes a stop at Tunnel View. Tour arrangements can be made year-round
at Yosemite Lodge, and in summer at Curry Village, The Ahwahnee and the Village
Store Tour Kiosk. When the weather is good, open-air trams are used. In poor
weather, there are enclosed buses.
The Big Trees Tram Tour is a one-hour tour of the Mariposa Grove, starting
in the Mariposa Grove Parking Area.
The Glacier Point Tour is a four-hour tour from the Valley to Glacier
Point. Hikers can also take this bus one way for a chance to hike up to Glacier
Point or down to the Valley. Reservations are recommended and can be made
at Yosemite Lodge. Reservations cannot be made for Glacier Point to the Valley.
The Moonlight Valley Floor Tour is held during summer months around
full-moon evenings. Reservations are recommended and can be made at Yosemite
Lodge.
The Mariposa Grove of Big Trees Tour is a six-hour tour from the Valley
to the Mariposa Grove. A stop is made at the Wawona Hotel for lunch (additional
cost). Reservations are recommended and can be made at Yosemite Lodge.
The Grand Tour is a full-day tour from the Valley to Glacier Point
and the Mariposa Grove. Reservations are recommended and can be made at Yosemite
Lodge.
