The Yosemite Association is pleased to announce the

climbs a tree and starts to cry.
Everything works
out fine when mama bear arrives and leads baby bear
back to comfort and safety.
Set in Yosemite
Valley, the tale features eye-catching woodblock
style drawings by noted illustrator Consie
Powell.
This new book regularly retails for $9.95,

Highway 140 Open Again with Placement of Bridges |
|
|
Last Friday, officials ceremonially opened a half-
mile detour over two bridges that allows vehicle
access to Yosemite over the route that had been
blocked by a rockslide since April.
Highway 140
will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
Transportation officials hope to get the detour
opened 24 hours a day, if sensors can be installed
that detect any new movement of the slide.

communities, visit YA's "Newsroom" by clicking on the
